Objectives of this course

  • Define avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
  • Describe the theories and frames of reference that can inform occupational therapy practice in ARFID treatment.
  • Discuss the potential roles of occupational therapy across the continuum of ARFID treatment.
  • Identify the current gap in empirical support regarding the role of occupational therapists in ARFID management.
